5 hp horizontal centrifugal pump with 15.3m3/h maximum flow, 45.8m maximum head, and 50mm diameter of inlet and outlet.
Features:
- The centrifugal pump has a horizontal structure. The diameter of the inlet and outlet are the same. If a protective cover is added, it can be used in the open air.
- It is easy to install and maintain. There is no need to dismantle the pipeline system, just lift off the conjunction flat nut of the vertical pump. Then, all the rotor parts can be taken out.
- A horizontal centrifugal pump can operate in series and parallel connection according to the requirements of flow and head.
- The installation angle of the pump outlet can be 0°, 90°, or 180° to meet different connection occasions.

Tips: How is the axial force of the centrifugal pump generated?
At the suction inlet of the single-suction centrifugal impeller of the centrifugal pump, the front side of the rear cover is subjected to suction pressure, and the rear side is subjected to high pressure. In addition, due to the various effects, such as the unequal seal leakage on both sides, the liquid pressure distribution on the two cover plates of the impeller is also different. Therefore, the force of the liquid acting on the impeller is unbalanced, thus creating an axial force F1 acting on the impeller, which is parallel to the shaft and directed from the rear cover to the impeller inlet.
The velocity and direction of the liquid at the impeller inlet and outlet are different. Therefore, there is a dynamic reaction force F2 acting on the impeller, which is also axial but opposite to the direction of F1.
As to the vertical pump, the weight of the entire rotor is also one part of the axial force. The impellers are symmetrically arranged. In some cases, it seems that the shape is symmetrical and the axial force of the impeller is balanced as well. As a matter of fact, due to the different diameters of the pillow block, shaft sleeve, and hub, there is still a residual axial force, which is sometimes very large and can even damage the bearing. In addition, due to the different pressures between the working surface and the back surface of the twisted blade, an axial force will also be generated. The axial force has the same direction as F1, but there is currently no suitable method to calculate the magnitude of this axial force. However, this force can generally be ignored because the force is very small.
